Why wasn’t I excused after I requested an excuse

Type:
JUROR FAQ
Answer:

Excuses are not automatically granted.  They are individually reviewed.  You must elaborate your reasons for your excuse on a separate sheet of paper and send it in with your information form OR you may submit your excuse using the eJuror program.  If you are requesting an excuse because of medical reasons you MUST provide a recent, original letter from your doctor stating what your medical condition is and that it would interfere with your serving on jury duty.  When the court takes action on your request you will be notified by mail, e-mail or by phone.  You may also call 1-866-847-4954 to check on the status of your excuse.   If you do not receive a response, you are required to report as instructed on the summons.
