Greetings!  We are pleased to announce that the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana has partnered with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and several other federal courts to comply with the local engagement requirement of the Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent Act of 2018 (POWER Act).  A FREE virtual presentation will be held on June 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM (EST) / noon (CST) with an expected duration of 60–75 minutes.  Additionally, the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Louisiana State Bar Association has approved this activity for continuing legal education (CLE) credit for Louisiana-licensed attorneys.  For more information on the POWER Act, local resources available to support victims of domestic and sexual violence, and to register for this FREE virtual event, please visit our new POWER Act page.  We look forward to your participation!
